Honey Alcohol Summit
October 16th – 18th
The National Honey Board’s Honey Alcohol Summit is an exclusive event gathering of craft brewers and distillers for an intensive 2-day seminar on honey, an all-natural sweetener that offers a variety of functional and flavor benefits when used in beer and distilled spirits. This educational event will include general sessions on honey and honey bees, with breakout sessions specifically for brewers and distillers.
Honey Alcohol Summit Agenda
Spend time with brewers and distillers from across the country and share ideas and your beers/spirits. Past events have spurred some amazing collaborations between attendees.
The National Honey Board has conducted significant, independent research on how honey impacts beer/spirits when added at various parts of the brewing or distilling process. This research will be presented, complete with sensory panel analysis and tastings.
Did you know there are more than 3,000 varietals of honey, each with a unique flavor, aroma and color? Although we won’t taste all 3,000, we’ll sample honeys from around the world.
Brewery & Distillery Tours
We’ll tour Austin breweries and distilleries throughout the summit, and sample their specially created honey beers and spirits.
Honey Beer & Spirits Tastings
We’ve sourced and purchased some of the best honey beers/spirits in the world. And, you’ll get to taste them!
The sound of 60,000+ bees working is something you’ll never forget. Our attendees suit up and visit an apiary, where they are given an up-close and personal peek inside an active hive.
