2018 Honey Beer Session
August 23, 2018
The National Honey Board’s Honey Beer Session is an exclusive event gathering a small group of local craft brewers for an intensive one day seminar on honey, an all-natural sweetener that offers a variety of functional and flavor benefits when used in beer.
Honey Beer Session Agenda
The National Honey Board has conducted significant, independent research on how honey impacts beer when added at various parts of the brewing process. This research will be presented, complete with sensory panel analysis and tastings.
Did you know there are more than 300 varietals of honey, each with a unique flavor, aroma and color? Although we won’t taste all 300, we’ll sample honeys from around the world, as well as some of our favorite honey beers.
The sound of 60,000+ bees working is something you’ll never forget. Our attendees suit up and visit an apiary, where they are given an up-close and personal peek inside an active hive.
We’ve partnered with local Denver breweries for this event. We’ll be touring their breweries as well as sampling beers made with honey specifically for the event!
Spend a day with local brewers and share ideas and your beers. Past events have spurred some amazing collaborations between attendees.
Honey Beer Tastings
We’ve sourced and purchased some of the best honey beers in the world. We’ll conduct multiple tastings based on varietal and beer styles.
