2017 Honey Beer Summit St. Louis

The Honey Beer Summit

August 28-30, 2017
Urban Chestnut Brewing Company
St. Louis, Missouri

The National Honey Board’s Honey Beer Summit is an exclusive, all expenses paid event that gathers a small group of the most innovative craft brewers in the industry for an intensive seminar on honey, an all-natural sweetener that offers a variety of functional and flavor benefits when used in beer.

Honey Beer Summit Agenda

Technical Research

The National Honey Board has conducted significant, independent research on how honey impacts beer when added at various parts of the brewing process. This research will be presented, complete with sensory panel analysis and tastings.

Honey Tastings

Did you know there are more than 300 varietals of honey, each with a unique flavor, aroma and color? Although we won’t taste all 300, we’ll sample honeys from around the world, as well as some of our favorite honey beers.

Apiary Visit

The sound of 60,000+ bees working is something you’ll never forget. Our attendees suit up and visit an apiary, where they are given an up-close and personal peek inside an active hive.

Brewery Tours

We’ve partnered with Urban Chestnut Brewery, Perennial Artisan Ales and Earthbound Brewery for this event, and we’ll be touring each facility as well as sampling one of their own made with honey beers.

Networking

Spend two days with 15 of the best brewers in the United States. Share ideas and your beers. Past Honey Beer Summits have spurred some amazing collaborations between attendees.
